Hortobágyi Kihajtási Ünnep

The 2026 St. George’s Day Livestock Drive Festival and Craft Fair will take place on April 25 in Hortobágy, marking the beginning of the spring grazing season. During this traditional event, visitors can witness the ceremonial driving out of Hungarian grey cattle, racka sheep, horses, and buffalo. The program also features a folk art market and traditional puszta horse-drawn carriages.
