Between May 1–2, 2026, visitors are welcome to a two-day event at Hajdúszoboszló Airport. The program includes aviation shows, family activities, concerts, and traditional May Day festivities.

The event is free to attend, however some services may require payment.

May 1 – Aviation Open Day

• Aerobatic show by Péter Besenyei
• Hot air balloon tethered rides (early morning and evening)
• Powered and glider flights
• Paragliding flights all day
• Military parachute jump demonstration
• Drone and model aircraft demonstrations
• Aircraft displays, theoretical introductions and IPP briefing
• Interactive aviation club presentations
• Lectures about the past 40 years of the airport

May 2 – May Day Festival at the Airport

Visitors can relax on blankets in the grass, enjoying the spring sunshine and the festive May Day atmosphere at the airport.
